ACC ADN Nurse Pinning Ceremony

Nursing Students Receive Pins During Ceremony

Alvin Community College nursing students recently had a pinning ceremony for Associate Degree Nursing at the ACC Gym on December 11.
The Fall 2024 class included 28 graduates from diverse backgrounds. Many of the students had an education and careers in other fields before joining the program.
The Nurse Pinning ceremony includes the graduates receiving their pin, the lighting of the ceremonial lamps and reciting the Nurse’s Pledge.
Each of the graduates also had an opportunity to thank their families and friends for their support as well as thanking the ACC faculty for their role in earning their degree.
Sixteen graduates were inducted into the college’s Eta Tau chapter of the Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society in Nursing. To be eligible for the society, students must earn a B or better in all nursing courses and complete a capstone project before graduation. This was the second induction for the ACC chapter.
