ACC Ranks Among Best in the State for Job Placement/Transfer
Alvin Community College ranked second in the state with the highest number of graduates either finding employment or transferring to further their education after graduating. The assessment was conducted by Houston Landing and based on data from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). Nursing Students Receive Pins During Ceremony Alvin Community College nursing students recently had a pinning ceremony for Associate Degree Nursing at the ACC Gym on December 11. The Fall 2024 class included 28 graduates from diverse backgrounds. Many of the students had an education and careers in other fields before joining the program. ACC Regents Approve 2024-25 Tax Rate The Alvin Community College Board of Regents approved the 2024-25 fiscal year tax rate during their meeting on September 26. The regents approved a 15.6 cent tax rate per $100 of property value, which is a half-cent more than the previous year’s rate.
