Niche again names Brazosport College top community college in Texas
LAKE JACKSON, TX — Brazosport College was recently ranked as the top community college in Texas for the third time by the higher-education and career website, Niche.
Brazosport College was featured in Niche’s article, “2025 Best Community Colleges in America,” earning the title as the top community college in Texas and the No. 15 community college in the country. This national result is seven spots higher than last year’s No. 22 ranking, and 10 spots higher than the college’s No. 25 ranking on the 2023 list.
As for Texas, Brazosport College has now earned a No. 1 ranking on Niche’s last three lists.
In another ranking from Niche, Brazosport College also earned the No. 32 spot on the “Best Hispanic-Serving Institutions in America” list. This ranking featured both two- and four-year institutions, with Brazosport College being one of only 13 community colleges to be listed in the Top 40. BC was again Texas’ top-ranked community college on the list.
Niche’s Best Colleges ranking was based on analysis of academic, financial and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education, along with millions of reviews from students and alumni. For consideration on the Best Hispanic-Serving Institutions list, schools had needed Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) membership, and rankings were based on analysis of key statistics and reviews from students.
