Alvin College Phi Theta Kappa Spring Induction The Mu Upsilon chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Alvin College held its Spring induction ceremony on April 30. The chapter inducted 44 new members during the ceremony. Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of two-year colleges. Alvin College Student Uses Grant to Expand Education
Alvin College student Hallie Rose felt as though she had discovered her path when she recently enrolled in the Drafting and Design Engineering Technology program. But not long after, she found an opportunity to build on her education for something different. “I fell in love with mechanical design,” Rose said. “I was making something that was my own. Alvin College Foundation Hosts 4th Annual Designer Bag Bingo
The Alvin College Foundation raised thousands of dollars for student scholarships and program support during the 4th Annual Designer Bag Bingo event on April 9. More than 550 attendees played 20 rounds of bingo and won brand-new designer handbags from designers such as Coach, Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Dooney and Bourke and more. Luciana Meadows won the raffle for a Louis Vuitton bag. An additional bonus round was played for five bags. All of the proceeds will go directly to Alvin College
