ACC to Host Senior Parents Night

ACC to Host Senior Parents Night

To help parents of high school seniors prepare for their student’s transition to college, Alvin Community College will host Senior Parent’s Night on Tuesday, November 5, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the ACC Welcome Center.
Parents will have the opportunity to learn about the college admissions process, financial aid, academic advising, disability services, student life and more. ACC Admissions Counselors and Financial Aid Advisors will assist families in completing the Apply Texas application and the Financial Aid forms in the ACC Welcome Center.
“The transition from high school to college can be a whole new world for students, but parents also may face some learning curves,” said Amanda Smithson, director of Recruitment and Enrollment. “Senior Parent Night allows parents to learn about the basics of having a college student. ACC Student Services will be on-hand to answer questions about everything from admissions and Financial Aid, to helping their students become active on campus.”
Light refreshments will also be served. To learn more about Senior Parent’s Night, email recruit@alvincollege.edu.
