The Alvin Community College Foundation will celebrate its  of 26^th Annual Gala Under the Texas Sky on Friday, November 7 to raise much needed funds for student scholarships.
The event will be held at South Shore Harbor Resort in League City.
“The ACC Foundation is always there to help our students earn their education that helps them to achieve their dreams,” said Wendy Del Bello, Foundation executive director. “The sky is the limit for our donors to provide the assistance and support our students need.” 
Festivities begin with a social reception at 6 p.m. There will also be dinner, a live auction and dancing with music from the Junior Gordon Band.
Junior Gordon is an Alvin-based singer-songwriter who performs Texas Country music. He has released several albums and has performed all over the country as well as internationally while charting more than 20 consecutive top 20 hits on Texas Country radio.
In addition to scholarships, the Foundation also uses the funds to support the Innovative Initiative grants and other programs on campus. This year, the Foundation awarded nearly $270,000 in student scholarships, grants and awards to ACC students, staff and program support.
Seats for the Gala sell fast so get them early. Different levels of sponsorship are available. Individual tickets are $100.
Donations are still being sought for the live auction.
