ACC Dual Enrollment to Host Career Conection
Alvin Community College will look to open doors and celebrate Hispanic Heritage month during the Career Connection event on October 4.
The event will give young students an opportunity to learn about their career field and how to pursue their profession. There will be a panel of speakers who work in various careers to give students a glimpse of the type of work they could pursue in the business and education pathways.
Speakers will include Dr. Bobby Martinez, deputy superintendent with LaPorte ISD and Gringo’s CEO Russell Ybarra.
Students can learn about the educational requirements, professional requirements, scholarship opportunities as well as other important resources needed to enter a specific profession.
The event will be Saturday, October 4 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Nolan Ryan Center. Their will be giveaways, dances, family fun, food and more.
