ACC Process Technology Hosts Annual Project Interview
The Alvin Community College Process Technology Department provided students with a chance to learn about the job-seeking process during Project Interview on April 15.
Nineteen industry professionals held mock interviews with Process Technology students to prepare them for the workforce once they finish their education.
“They are practice interviews specifically for the purpose of providing professional feedback to students for future hiring interviews,” said Don Parus, Process Technology instructor. “We ask that they prepare in every way for the interviews including resume preparation and wearing proper attire.”
The objective of the project is to give students an insight to their interviewing skills and take away a critical critique of their interviews. The industry volunteers conduct three to four 25-minute interviews with each student.
“Project Interview continues to grow in participation and significance,” Parus said. “It provides one of the best opportunities for the Process Technology Department and industry partners to provide meaningful guidance for soft skills development to students who are really serious about their future.”
